Object story by Eda Ozdemir:
“The symbol of this Alevi peace stone pendant comes from 14th century, from our Saint that the community believes is very good and helpful. It’s an important symbol in our culture and tradition. The “tast of surrender” worn by Alevi dervishes is a special token given to those accepted into the order and is considered a symbol of loyalty, submission, and unity. We can also have it on display in Alevi homes and culture centres.”
